Bounding the Whois Servers to Top Level Domains

You can select the Whois servers to check particular domains availability. In the current Parallels Business Automation - Standard implementation, these Whois servers will be used to check availability of domains registered using the Dummy domain registration Plug-in.

The Whois servers should be added to Parallels Business Automation - Standard in advance.

To assign a Whois server to a top level domain:

  1. Open the Service Director submenu on the Navigation tree and click the Domain Manager.
  2. Click Setup on the Domain Manager submenu.
  3. Select the TLDs tab. The list of all top level domains available appears.
  4. Select the top level domain. The selected TLD properties appear on the screen.
  5. Click the Edit button at the Whois Servers bar.
  6. Select Whois servers:
    1. To assign a Whois server to the TLD click on the Whois server name (Ctrl+click to select several Whois servers at once) in the Available menu and move it to the Selected menu using the >> button. To unselect a server, click on its name and move it back to the Available menu.
    2. Define the order of Whois servers usage: click on the Whois server name (Ctrl+click to select several Whois servers at once) in the Available menu and move it up or down the list using the Up or Down buttons.
  7. Click the Update button.
